Taught by ... by Cayleb

Taught by

I was taught by my dad

To respect relatives.

So I get respect in return.

I was taught by my Nan

To never touch a bull.

So I might see the light again.

I was taught by my friends

To never leave the house without permission.

So I might see the outside again.

I was taught by my cousin

To never turn away from the ocean.

So I might not be pulled in by the ocean

Because of my Dad, Nan, friends and Cousin

I am safe and I know these different things.

King of the world

If I were king of the world.

I would restore the animals land in my country and give a life to the poor.

I would never allow World War lll to break out.

I would allow salaries to double to twice the amount people are given.

And I’d welcome people to make this world a better place.

If I were king of the world.

I’m not king of the world.

I’m just John.

But I can work at the SPCA and help at a soup kitchen.

And I can make cool choices.

I will never bully kids.

I will be friendly to new people I meet.

And I will welcome people to my family

Because I AM John

A work in progress...

IF I WERE KING!

Queen of the world

If I were Queen of the world

I would give all African children food, education and a home and I would help all endangered animals.

I would never allow war.

I would encourage peace treaties in the Middle East.

And I’d welcome all religions.

If I were Queen of the world.

I’m not the Queen of the world.

I’m just Hayley.

But I can fundraise for World Vision and I can help at the Zoo.

And I can use my WITS.

I will never bully.

I will spread joy through my dance.

And I will welcome new people to my school.

Because I AM Hayley

Loneliness
by Cayleb

Loneliness is the colour black.
It smells like old expired paint.
It tastes like mildewed bread that's been there forever.
It sounds like pitch black nothing.
It feels like a spider crawling up your spine.
Loneliness is a hanging microphone listening to the ground.

Sadness
by Hayley

Sadness is like the colour gray.
It smells like rain on a cold Autumn day.
It tastes like a stale biscuit.
It sounds like a big gray storm cloud rolling near.
It feels like a piano that can only play low keys.
Sadness is a gray cloud always hanging over your head.

Sadness
by Ihipera

Sadness is the colour dark blue.
It smells like a rubbish dump at the back of a seafood restaurant.
It tastes like bread that was bought two days ago.
It sounds like a broken tap that is in a dark basement.
It feels like you are sinking in quicksand.
Sadness is a dark black room.

Anger
by John

Anger is the colour red.
It smells like an over cooked meal.
It tastes like a hot chillie raging at you.
It sounds like a school bell ringing on and on.
It feels like you want to take on the world.
Anger is like a prison you can't escape from.

Cool
by Sione

Cool is the colour blue and red.
It smells like butter chicken on the stove.
It tastes like butter chicken.
It sounds like a car going passed.
It feels like a rugby player.
Cool is better than sadness.

Related imageMy Hands
by Ihipera

I like my hands because they allow me to play my favorite sport.
I use my hands to throw the softball at the bat.
I like my hands because they help me type and text people when I need to.
Without my hands I wouldn’t be able to let the far away family know I love them.
I love my hands because I wouldn’t be able to do many
                                               things without them.
I love my hands just like I love to make up rhythms when I play on the drums.
